The Preen Family History Study Group exists to study the history of the Preen Family. Please click here for an account of our history. In addition to this research, the Group produces a newsletter each year and organises an annual Family Reunion. This year it was held in Cardington Village Hall on Saturday 31st May 2008(click here for further details). If you are interested in the family but cannot attend the reunion, you may contact us by email at preen@one-name.org

You are invited to join the Group - contact the membership secretary on members@preenfamily.org. She has also set up a Forum where members can exchange information or just chat about the family. This may be found at www.atfreeforum.com/preenfhsg

In addition to organising the annual reunions, a small group of members have been working on a written history of the Preen family. All three volumes have now been published and also the first two booklets containing source data about the Preen Family. For details of how to purchase them please click here. The source data is being deposited in Shropshire Archives (reference SA 07310) and copies of the volumes are deposited there as they are completed (reference: qBP 57). It was decided that the published accounts should finish with the 1901 census, just over 100 years ago, to avoid any problems of infringing the privacy of living members of the family.

This web site previously also had links to some other families in Shropshire - to find these you will now have to look at www.susan-laflin.me.uk
