History of the Preen Family before 1901.
Three volumes are currently available.

Last updated 20th May 2008

A small group (Susan Laflin, Angela Clarke and Julie Fox) have been researching the history of the PREEN family. A y-line DNA analysis showed that the family is divided into three main groups, each with a common ancestor in the last 500 years. These are "The Cardington Group" - descended from Philip and Mary Preen in the 1660s, "The Kings Stanley Group" - descended from John and Ursula Preen in the 1660s, and "The Bridgnorth Group" - descended from Francis and Frances Preen in the 1640s.
The all three volumes are now available. If you live in the U.K., you can send a cheque (payable to "Preen F.H.S.G.") to Susan Laflin at 23 Barkers Court, Madley, TF7 5AL and a copy will be posted to you. Each volume costs £12 (including postage and packing). If you live overseas, please email (preen@one-name.org) for further details - we shall have to make an additional charge because of the higher cost of postage and the bank charges incurred when changing foreign currency.

We have now started on a series of booklets of source data relating to the Preen Family and the first two are now available. Each one costs £4 per copy (including postage) and may be ordered in the same way as the Histories.

No: 1 The 1841 Census by Julie Fox.
No: 2 Parish Registers before 1813 by Susan Laflin.
Others are planned for future years.

In addition, a DVD showing the 2007 reunion was available at the 2008 reunion and a few copies are still available (£2 each) and there are several copies of the CD of information prepared for 2008 (containing text of the three histories, a copy of the website in May 2008, Newsletters from 1991 to 2008 and some pictures of Cardington) (£1.50 each). These may be ordered in the same way as the books.
