Preen Family Reunion 2008

This year the Preen Family Reunion was held on Saturday 31st May 2008 in the Village Hall in Cardington from 10.00am to 5.00pm. The picture shows those attending in front of Cardington church. As you can see, it was a fine day and an enjoyable time was had by all.

HOW TO GET THERE

CARDINGTON is a village in Shropshire not far from Church Stretton. If you are driving down (southwards) the A49 from Shrewsbury to Ludlow, you will find a turning to Cardington on the left of the road in the village of Leebotwood - shortly before you reach Church Stretton.
Alternatively when you reach the traffic lights in Church Stretton, you can take a left turn along the B4371 to Hope Bowdler, Longville and along Wenlock Edge into Much Wenlock. From this road, there are three possible roads to Cardington, all on the left. Two of them lie between Hope Bowdler and Longville and the third is in Longville.
All routes to Cardington lie along narrow roads - single track with passing places - so you will need to allow enough time to drive carefully.

If you are coming from Much Wenlock, you will need to take the B4371 in the opposite direction and drive along Wenlock Edge and down slope into Longville (you will understand why it's full name is "Longville in the Dale"). The first road to Cardington is a right turn in Longville - or rather the main road bends to the left and you keep straight on. If you don't fancy this one, there are two more roads on the right beofre you reach Hope Bowdler.

This assumes you are coming by car and have your own transport. If this is not the case, it may be possible to arrange a lift, but you will need to phone me (Susan Laflin) and I will do what I can to arrange this.
